Bilingual Kahoot! Challenge – IES Turaniana
During the next few days we are going to start a new activity in 3rd ESO that combines creativity, visual thinking and English practice. Our students will become quiz creators for a new Bilingual Kahoot! Challenge at IES Turaniana. //
Durante los próximos días vamos a comenzar una nueva actividad en 3º de ESO que combina creatividad, pensamiento visual y práctica del inglés. Nuestro alumnado se convertirá en creador de preguntas para un nuevo Bilingual Kahoot! Challenge en el IES Turaniana
The objective of this activity is simple: students will design their own multiple-choice questions in English based on the contents we have studied during the first and second term in Visual Arts.//
El objetivo de esta actividad es muy sencillo: el alumnado diseñará sus propias preguntas tipo test en inglés basadas en los contenidos que hemos trabajado durante el primer y segundo trimestre en la asignatura de Educación Plástica, Visual y Audiovisual.

The Challenge // El reto
Each student must write one question in English related to the topics studied in class. The question must follow the Kahoot! format://
Cada estudiante (o pequeño grupo) deberá redactar una pregunta en inglés relacionada con los temas trabajados en clase. La pregunta deberá seguir el formato de Kahoot:
- One clear question // Una pregunta clara
- Four possible answers // Cuatro posibles respuestas
- Only one correct answer// Sólo una respuesta correcta
The questions can be related to topics such as:// Las preguntas pueden estar relacionadas con contenidos como:
- Visual communication// Comunicación visual
- Gestalt principles// Leyes de la Gestalt
- Optical illusions// Ilusiones ópticas
- Colour theory// Teoría del Color
- Geometric constructions// Construcciones geométricas
- Patterns and modular design// Diseño de Redes modulares
- Proportion and similarity// Porporción y semejanza
The best questions will be selected to create a class Kahoot! competition for all the students of the IES Turaniana

Why are we doing this?
By creating their own questions, students will:
- Review the concepts studied during the course
- Think critically about visual language
- Practice writing in English
- Learn how quizzes and games are designed
And of course… we will finish the activity with a big Kahoot! competition in class.
